How to check labour court and industrial tribunal case status

Labour courts and industrial tribunals decide industrial disputes. Whether a given one appears on the eCourts Services portal depends on the state, so the reliable route is to check eCourts first, then the district court website, and finally the tribunal registry.

How to find a labour court case

  1. Note the reference number, year and the exact name of the labour court or tribunal from your notice or order.

  2. Search the eCourts Services portal for the district and court complex that houses the labour court.

  3. If it is not listed, open the district court website (districts.ecourts.gov.in) for that district and look for the labour court or industrial tribunal section.

  4. Otherwise contact the tribunal registry or the state labour department with the reference number.

  5. Ask your representative to record each hearing date so you do not depend on one website.
