How it works

  1. OA fee: ₹12,000 up to ₹10 lakh of debt, plus ₹1,000 for every lakh or part of a lakh above ₹10 lakh, capped at ₹1,50,000 (Rule 7, DRT Procedure Rules, 1993). The cap is reached at about ₹1.48 crore.

  3. Appeal to DRAT: ₹12,000 below ₹10 lakh, ₹20,000 from ₹10 lakh to below ₹30 lakh, ₹30,000 for ₹30 lakh or more (Rule 8, DRAT Procedure Rules, 1994).

Figures could not all be matched against the official rule text and are indicative. Miscellaneous application fees are not included.
